You have the right to file a complaint against Residential Mortgage Loan Originators, Mortgage Companies, Financial Services Companies, Auxiliary Mortgage Loan Activity Companies, and Independent Contractor Loan Processors and Underwriters licensed under Texas Finance Code Chapter 156, Residential Mortgage Loan Company and Residential Mortgage Loan Originator Licensing and Registration Act; .

or

Residential Mortgage Loan Originators and Mortgage Bankers under Texas Finance Code Chapter 157, Mortgage Banker Registration and Residential Mortgage Loan Originator License Act; .

or

Residential Mortgage Loan Servicers Under Texas Finance Code Chapter 158, Residential Mortgage Loan Servicer Registration Act; .

or

a state savings bank if you feel you have been wronged in any way regarding your financial dealings and or transactions. .

Please note that the Department maintains the Recovery Fund to assist consumers who have been financially harmed by a licensed individual referenced above. A Recovery Fund claims may be filed against individuals who were properly licensed at the time of the financial harm and who participated in the fund.
